This English Tea Caddy dates to The Georgian Period and was made Circa 1780. It is a superb and rather rare hexangonal shaped Caddy. It is constructed from fiddle back Mahogany, Boxwood Stringing, and the top and front panels are inlaid. The oval panels are in Satinwood and the floral displays are in Rosewood, Ebony and a dark Ebony stringing framing the ovals.The escutcheon is in ivory. This is a wonderful Tea Caddy with a very early date.
